People and Culture Manager

About the role

With a minimum of four years of relevant experience in human resources, people operations, talent, employee experience, or organizational development, you will build fair systems that help XieTech attract, support, and develop a distributed team. Working across functions, you will balance empathy, consistency, confidentiality, and early-stage constraints while strengthening a mission-driven culture.

What you'll do

• Support workforce planning and lead structured, inclusive recruitment and selection practices
• Create consistent onboarding, role clarity, probation, performance, feedback, and development processes
• Maintain practical people policies, employee records, documentation standards, and fair workplace practices
• Coach managers on expectations, feedback, performance support, growth, and difficult conversations
• Handle employee relations and confidential people matters with care, neutrality, and appropriate escalation
• Strengthen remote-team engagement, internal communication, belonging, recognition, and culture-building
• Track useful people insights and improve practices based on team needs, risk, and organizational learning

What you'll bring

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in human resources, people operations, talent, employee experience, or organizational development
• Practical knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, performance support, employee relations, and records
• Understanding of fair workplace practices and Philippine employment context appropriate to the role
• Strong coaching, facilitation, policy writing, listening, and conflict-navigation skills
• Excellent discretion and judgment when handling personal information and sensitive concerns
• Ability to build consistent systems without importing unnecessary enterprise complexity
• Empathetic, accountable leadership suited to a remote and evolving early-stage team

Nice to have

• Experience leading people programs, contributors, managers, or cross-functional culture initiatives
• Experience building people systems in a Philippine startup or technology organization
• Relevant HR, organizational development, coaching, or labor-relations training
• Experience supporting distributed, flexible-time, volunteer, or mixed-engagement teams
• Familiarity with people analytics, HR systems, compensation, or learning programs
