People & Culture Associate

About the role

No prior professional human-resources experience is required. Readiness may be demonstrated through school organizations, people-operations projects, internships, volunteer coordination, documentation samples, or self-directed learning. Working with the People and Culture Manager, you will help run practical recruitment and onboarding work while handling personal information with care in a remote, early-stage Filipino team.

What you'll do

• Coordinate job postings, candidate communications, interview schedules, and application tracking
• Prepare interview packs, score sheets, and follow-up notes so selection stays structured and timely
• Support onboarding checklists, first-week logistics, access requests, and new-hire introductions
• Help maintain people records, policy files, templates, and documentation standards
• Assist with engagement, recognition, internal communications, and culture-building activities
• Track open people tasks, due dates, and blockers and surface them early to the People and Culture Manager
• Handle personal information, candidate details, and confidential people matters with discretion

What you'll bring

• No prior professional human-resources experience is required
• Evidence of interest through a school organization, people-operations project, internship, volunteer coordination, documentation sample, or self-directed learning
• Clear written English and a respectful, organized approach to candidate and teammate communication
• Careful attention to names, dates, records, checklists, and confidential details
• Comfort using spreadsheets, shared calendars, forms, and basic people or recruiting tools
• Initiative and ability to manage several small people-operations tasks while communicating blockers early
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling personal information and sensitive workplace topics

Nice to have

• Familiarity with recruiting, onboarding, employee-engagement, or HR-administration tools
• Experience coordinating volunteers, student organizations, events, or distributed teams
• Understanding of fair hiring practices or Philippine employment context
• Filipino-language communication for candidate and teammate support
